I traveled to this Indian city Lavasa architecturally based on Italian town Portofino. This city is beautifully designed and has picturesque sceneries for the visitors including buildings ,hotels, malls and residential property.
It is approximately 181 km away from Mumbai and is situated in Mose Valley in Pune. The drive to Lavasa during monsoon gives breathtaking views of Ghats.
There is lot to do here, one can go for boat ride in the lake or just sit beside this beautiful landscape. Its an perfect destination for photo lovers. From Italian architecture houses to cafes to lush green fields and the water sport activites, this place is in itself an 10/10 for a weekend gateway
The town is worth a visit and gives you feeling of being in some place outside the country. Its really impressive the way they have designed the entire city. Though the place looks amazing throughout the year, its best to visit during monsoon. Lush green surroundings, entirely covered with clouds and you siting beside the beautiful lake gives soothing and relaxing feeling.
Best part of being in Lavasa is adventure sports like Paintball,Rapelling,Rock climbing, camping.Another thing about Lavasa city is the Lakeshore water sports the tourist can just zip across on water. If you are not interested in all of this, you can just enjoy the nature trails and gardens .
The monsoon showers bestows the magic on the city making it more picturesome. If nothing else, you can just sit beside any cafe and get lovely view of valley enjoying the rain showers and chill weather.
Since it was heavily raining by the time we were leaving Lavasa, we really had a beautiful view of lush green valley covered with clouds. The drive to this route is pretty amazing. We came across many sites on the way to stop by and cant resist to capture the fog covered valley.
City also has a lighthouse from where one can get lovely view of Lavasa city and the lake.
